We have learned from the past two years of hurricanes, snowstorms, power outages and flooding issues that preparation is the key to a successful weathering of an emergency. In an effort to assist and support the special needs residents of Morris Plains; the Morris Plains Office of Emergency Management is encouraging residents who require special or extra assistance to register on the Special Needs Registry.
Persons who use oxygen continuously or only once in a while, require electricity for certain medical equipment, live alone and/or have limited family support, or would need assistance if you were required to evacuate your home quickly in an emergency; should register at https://www13.state.nj.us/SpecialNeeds/.
This registry is confidential. Information will not be released to the public, but will provide us with additional important information about you or your loved ones when another emergency arises.
