The Morris Plains Memorial Day Parade is this Saturday, May 25th. Expect road closures and detours 9 am to 1 pm. 
The annual Morris Plains Memorial Day Parade will take place this Saturday, May 25th; beginning with ceremonies at Robert's Garden at 9 a.m. The parade will begin immediately after the completion of the ceremonies (approximately 9:30 a.m.). The parade will travel down Speedwell Avenue from Rosedale Avenue and up Route 53 to the VFW. There will be food, drinks and entertainment for all to enjoy at the VFW after the parade.
Route 202 (Speedwell Avenue & Littleton Road) between East Hanover Avenue and Malapardis Road will be closed for the parade. Route 53 will also be closed. Road closures will last until the completion of the parade and until pedestrian traffic on the aforementioned roads has thinned out to allow for safe passage of vehicular traffic. Motorists should expect the road closures to take place between approximately 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
