The annual Share the Care 5K Run to benefit Habitat for Humanity is this evening at 6:30 p.m. To accommodate the run, there will be several short term road closures beginning at 6:15 p.m.

This year the run will begin and end at the Central Park complex on Central Avenue. The following roads will be closed for the start of the run and remain closed until the participants have cleared them (approximately 20 minutes):
- Central Avenue, Sunset Road, Hawthorne Avenue, Carlyle Avenue, Homer Avenue and Stiles Avenue.
- Glenbrook Road (west of Mountain Way).
- Mountain Way (between Glenbrook Rd and Granniss Ave).

The following roads will be closed for the duration of the run:
- Central Avenue (above Collins Road).
- Old Dover Road / Granniss Avenue (between Cottage & Mountain Way) will be closed for east bound traffic only; the road will remain open to west bound traffic.

A map has been attached to this alert to provide a visual picture of the run route and assist with understanding the road closures. Police officers, DPW personnel and volunteers will be posted to direct and assist motorists and minimize their inconvenience.
