On 4-29-14 at about 3:14 pm, UCIPD officers responded to an attempted residential burglary in Schubert Court in the University Hills community. The victim was inside of the residence when he was alerted by a noise in his living room. As he walked into his living room, the victim saw a male subject crouching outside near the glass sliding window. The male subject was attempting to pry open the sliding glass window with an unknown metal tool. Upon seeing the victim, the male subject fled the patio area on foot and ran southbound on the adjacent street.
The subject is described as a Hispanic male with a medium build, between 5'4" and 5'6", in his mid 20's, and with a clean shaven baby face. The subject was wearing a black/blue New York Yankees baseball hat, a black hoodie sweatshirt, and a white under shirt.
