Inspector Neubauer discussed recent crime patterns and trends and noteworthy arrests.
Sgt. Doyle discussed an increase in thefts from parked vehicles and delivered packages in front residences. Crime prevention tips were discussed and increased patrols in affected areas have been instituted.
Sgt. Doyle discussed recent phone scams targeting businesses and residences in Suffolk County. A Nixle message regarding this subject was released and crime prevention tips are available on the SCPD homepage.
A community member discussed damage to a fence on the perimeter of Brookhaven Calabro Airport in Shirley. 7th COPE followed up with airport officials who were aware of the damage and are in the process to get it repaired.
A community member discussed concerns about a burglary in Rocky Point and concerns about vacant houses in the area. 7th COPE followed up to ensure vacant houses in area are properly secured and no unauthorized occupants are within the structures.
A community member discussed concerns about a vicious dog in Mastic Beach. 7th COPE to follow up regarding this issue.
