On Wednesday, January 20, 2016, the community group Huntington Matters, Inc. honored several Second Precinct officers in recognition of their successful efforts in crime reduction and enhancing police - community relations.
Huntington Matters, Inc. president June Margolin and the executive board members presented awards to Inspector Christopher Hatton, Deputy Inspector Bill Read, Detective Nicholas Guerrero and Police Officers Mark Collins, Angela Ferrara, Claudia Delgado, Drew Fiorillo, and Anthony Iadevaio, and recently retired Inspector Edward Brady. Additionally, three Police Explorers—Michael Sullivan, Harris Wilner, and Angel Villatoro were honored for their efforts in assisting police personnel in a 2015 arrest.
Inspector Christopher Hatton, on behalf of all members of the Second Precinct, extended his thanks to June Margolin and Huntington Matters, Inc. for their overwhelming support in our police - community partnership in serving the Huntington community. According to Inspector Hatton, “It is imperative that we as a police department continue the vigilant pursuit of establishing and maintaining positive community relations.”
