Subject: Attempted Armed Robbery
On Monday, May 16, 2016, at 9:42pm, officers responded to a home in the 200 block of Virginia St., in reference to an attempted robbery. Upon their arrival they learned the victim had left the scene of the incident pursued by the offenders.
Investigations learned that the 23 year old victim had been approached by two suspects at a home in the 200 block of Virginia St. The two suspects demanded money. The victim fled the scene in his vehicle and was pursued by the suspects. It was learned that the victim was able to lose the suspects.
Investigating officers identified an address in the 1400 block of W. 6th St as a home of one of the suspects involved in the attempted armed robbery. Officers located the suspect and issued a search warrant for evidence.
Two suspects were taken into custody for interviews. The incident remains under investigation.
