The San Pablo Police Department Announces
Citywide Parking Enforcement Issues
The San Pablo Police Department is receiving an increasing number of complaints regarding vehicles throughout the City of San Pablo blocking sidewalks, parking in prohibited areas, blocking driveways, parked facing the wrong way on neighborhood streets and parked in designated street sweeping zones. The San Pablo Police Department plans to increase parking enforcement operations throughout the entire city in order to keep our roadways clear and safe, and to improve the quality of life for our residents through both enforcement and education.
Officers will focus their attention on vehicles parked:
1. In areas designated and marked as “Prohibited” or “No” parking
2. In areas designated and marked by posted street sweeping signs
3. In designated fire lanes
4. In violation of curb markings (Red/Yellow/White/Green Zones)
5. With expired or improper DMV registration tabs
6. In violation of posted handicapped parking areas
7. In areas designated and marked with specific time limitations (i.e.: EV charging stations)
8. Blocking city sidewalks
9. Blocking public or private driveways
10. With right-hand wheels parallel with and within 18 inches of right-hand curb (i.e.: facing wrong way)
11. On city streets in excess of 72 consecutive hours (i.e.: inoperable, abandoned, includes trailers)
