Third Precinct Community Liaison Officer Eiffel Ramirez and Cope Officer John Wright teamed up with Legislator Monica R. Martinez to host “Move Night in the Park”.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2016, the SCPD and Legislator Monica R. Martinez hosted a free community movie night at the new Central Islip Community Park on Clayton Street.
Prior to the movie, Cope Officer, John Wright, and CLO Eiffel Ramirez gave a special presentation on pedestrian and bicycle safety to all in attendance and, with the generosity of Enrico DeLuca of “Bikes for Kids in America”, were able to donate several bicycles and helmets to some of the children in attendance.
Approximately 100 children and community members enjoyed the movie “Zootopia” under the stars on a perfect night!
