On August 11th the Suffolk County Police Department’s Third Precinct, in collaboration with Legislator Monica Martinez and Pastor Bryan Greaves of The Sanctuary at The Holy Church of Christ in Central  Islip, did take part in a wonderful event which involved the community and officers from the Third Precinct engaging in role plays and healthy community building discussions. 

 The event was constructed by COPE officers Tracy Mathis, John Wright, and Peter Rivera, along with community Liaison Officer Eiffel Ramirez. This event was a tremendous success due to community participation and eagerness to build a strong relationship and understanding with the Suffolk County Police Department. All involved were thrilled with the progress that was made but hope this is only the beginning of many events, such as this, that will strengthen our community.
