Please be advised of the following road closures for community events taking place on October 21 and October 22:
Saturday, October 21, 2017:
The Central Islip Homecoming Parade will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11:45 – 1 PM.  Wheeler Road will be closed from Suffolk Avenue to Adams Road.
Sunday, October 22, 2017:
The East Islip 911 Veterans 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday October 22, 2017 from 8:30 to 11 AM.  Expect delays and temporary road closures on the following route:
The event will commence at Timber Point Elementary School, and continue on Dorset Lane, Marilyn Street, Overlook Lane, Manistee Lane, Matinecock Avenue, Gwendolyn Place, Woodland Drive, Post Office Road, Schoolhouse Road and end in the parking lot of Timber Point Elementary School. 
*Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through these areas and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
