Winter Nor’easter to impact all of NH today bringing 8-12” of light, fluffy snow.
Timing: beginning this morning, intensifying over next couple hours into this evening when it will wind down; heaviest noon to this evening.
Snow accumulation: at noontime, will be around 1-3” north and 4-6” south; by end of storm possible snow accumulations of 6” along CT Valley, 8-12” north and central and 12” in coastal areas.
Wind: gusts of 30-40MPH inland and 40-50 in coastal areas; winds may lead to blizzard or white out conditions particularly in coastal areas and continue throughout the night.
Temps: teens to low 20s during day today, cold weather will continue following the storm with 0 north and mid teens in the south
• Saturday: Low of -15 to -20 north and 0 in the south; Sunday lows of -30 in the north and -10 to -15 in the south
• Wind chill values on Sunday will be -40 to -45 in the north and -20 to -25 in the south
• Scattered power outages are possible due to the wind.
• Cold temperatures will continue next week.
Storm surge will be about 1.5’ putting it into a moderate flooding point; this may result in residual water freezing overnight.
