Please be advised of the following community events happening this weekend in Central Islip and West Islip that may cause temporary road closures and traffic delays:
Central Islip: Saturday, May 12^th between 7 AM and 11:30 AM
The Central Islip 5K Run for Lupus will take place with intermittent road closures on the following roads: Adams Road, Hawthorne Avenue, Halley Lane, William Avenue and Williard Avenue. 
 
West Islip:  Sunday, May 13^th between 9 AM and 12 Noon.
The West Islip Elizabeth T. McNamee Memorial 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will take place with intermittent road closures on the following roads: Higbie Lane, Union Blvd, Pease Lane, and Montauk Highway. 
 
Please take this information into consideration and plan your travel route accordingly.
