...Periods of Heavy Rainfall Possible with Alberto Tuesday into Tuesday Night Across Middle Tennessee... .Alberto is expected to become a tropical depression as it approaches and moves across the mid state Tuesday into Tuesday night. Storm total rainfall associated with Alberto is expected to range from around 1.0 inch across Upper Cumberland Region to around 2.0 inches across Nashville Metro Area to around 1.5 inches across TN River Valley Region. Most of this rainfall will occur Tuesday afternoon. These amounts are generally below expected flash flood guidance values. * From Tuesday morning 7 AM CDT through Wednesday morning 7 AM CDT

* Total rainfall amounts from around one inch to around two inches with locally higher amounts approaching three inches possible.

* Some flash flooding is possible. In addition, you can expect rises to occur on area creeks and streams, and possibly along larger rivers as well.
