Voter Election Security Public Notice 
The City Clerk has been notified that some campaigners are asking voters to fill out an Application for Absent Voter Ballot, sign it, and give it to them to return to the City Clerk. In accordance with MCL 168.759(8), “ . . . A person who is not authorized in this act and who both distributes absent voter ballot applications to absent voters and returns those absent voter ballot applications to a clerk or assistant of the clerk is guilty of a misdemeanor.” A reminder to voters, neither should a signed Absent Voter Application form nor a signed ballot be given to any campaign person.
