The Upper Macungie Township Police Department has an important message for you! *National Night Out 2018 TONIGHT*

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW- NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2018 –UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP

**TONIGHT** 30 LONE LANE (LONE LANE PARK) – 5-8 PM

1. WHAT IS IT? National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. In Upper Macungie Township, it also means food, live music, rides, displays, demonstrations, and a car show!

2. WHAT’S IT GOING TO COST ME? Parking, admittance, rides, moon bounces, and face painting are all free. We’ll have multiple food trucks with delicious food options to pick from, so you’ll want to have some cash on hand for that. We’ll also be raffling off some items and selling UMTPD t-shirts for $10 a piece (while supplies last).

3. DID YOU SAY FOOD TRUCKS? Yes, food trucks. We know a lot of people will be coming from work, so come on down and eat dinner with us. We’ve worked hard to secure a variety of vendors (with even some healthier options, per popular demand). We’re pumped to have lots of food options this year.

4. WHAT IF IT RAINS? We are rain or shine, so in case of inclement weather, grab an umbrella and help us find the biggest puddle to jump in.

5. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO TALK WITH AN OFFICER LAST YEAR, BUT… No buts! We’ll have numerous officers on hand for this event, and they want to talk to you, too! If you see one, feel free to shake a hand and ask questions about policing in Upper Macungie, or talk about that red SUV that keeps running the stop sign in your neighborhood, or simply ask “which way to the K9 demo?” Our officers are here to talk with you, so please take advantage of it!

We can’t wait to celebrate with you tonight! See you there!
