Accepting applications for Reserve Deputy. 
VIGO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RESERVE OPENINGS
The Vigo County Sheriff’s office will begin releasing Reserve Deputy applications September 1, 2018. Applicants may pick up an application at the Sheriff’s Office during business hours (8am-4pm) Monday through Friday. Applicants should read the application in full, complete the application in full, and return to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office no later than October 15, 2018.
After reviewing all applications, applicants will be notified via email by November 30th if they will be moving forward in the hiring process. The application itself provides information more specific about the program and the hiring process.
Applicants should know that this program is a volunteer program, generally requiring a minimum of 24hrs a month of service, and 500+ hours of initial training.
