TODAY @ 2:18 PM EST Phones will display this national test using the header “Presidential Alert.” These nationwide alerts are meant for use in a national emergency and are the only type of alert that can be sent simultaneously nationwide by FEMA.
The text can just be dismissed from your phone. Please advise anyone you know who may not be aware of the TEST. There is no need to contact 911 as this is only a TEST.
