The Great Pacific Airshow Returns
to Huntington Beach, Oct. 19 – 21, 2018
What: The Great Pacific Airshow, headlined by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, will make its return to Huntington Beach, Oct. 19 – 21. This year’s Airshow will be bigger than ever with a never before seen aircraft, military flybys and thrilling aerobatic performers. More than two million people are expected over the three-day event.
Who: Thunderbirds and other performers including Jeff Boerboon and his Yak 110 making its West Coast debut, a KC 135 Stratotanker and C-17 Globemaster, a Black Hawk EU60 Helicopter, Mike Wiskus, Matt Chapman, Sammy Mason, Greg Colyer, Paul Strickland and Bill Stein.
When: The free, family-friendly Airshow will take to the skies from 11:30 am – 4:30pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 -21. VIP premium viewing tickets are available for purchase.
On Thursday, Oct. 18, there will be a community kick off at 5th and PCH, on 5th Street in Huntington Beach, to welcome the Airshow performers. This free event will include live music, food, official Airshow merchandise and a performer question and answer session.
Advance media interview opportunities:
Thursday, Oct. 18:
10am – Lyon Air Museum, 19300 Ike Jones Rd, Santa Ana 92707, near John Wayne Airport, interviews with civilian performers and the SOCOM Para Commando jump team. RSVP requested.
2pm – Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB), Los Alamitos, planeside interviews with U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. RSVP required to access the base.
Friday, Oct. 19
Brownie and Daisy Troop 76 from Grand Terrace, CA will make a special presentation to the Thunderbirds at approx. 4:15pm. This troop maintains a veterans wall that also honors the Thunderbirds.

At the Airshow:
Media are welcome to come to the show, Oct. 19 -21, to photograph/video from the beach. Show center is located at Huntington Street and Pacific Coast Highway for the best view.

Noise notifications:
Single Thunderbird aircraft arrival at the JFTB on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 10:30am.
Thunderbird team flight on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 1pm - 2pm.
Thunderbird team practice flight Friday, Oct. 19 10:30am - 11:30am.
Pacific Airshow flies 11:30am - 4:30pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 – 21
