Victim: Vyshonn Avitia, 18 years old
The time of the incident was 7:57pm. There are no other updates at this time.
On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, Racine Police responded to the 1900 block of Prospect St. for calls of gun shots being heard in the area. Officers arrived in the area and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim did die at the scene. The investigation is active and closed off from the public. We ask that you stay away from the area until the scene is released by our Investigators. Any additional details on the incident will be given in an updated release tomorrow. The victim is an eighteen year old male.
