Advisory

Three subjects arrested following last night's armed robbery at the Parker's gas station on Hilton Head Island.

Just after midnight, employees of the Parker's gas station, 165 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island reported they were robbed by three subjects at gunpoint. Employees reported that three male subjects entered the store, demanded cash and then fled in a vehicle. Deputies responding to the scene observed the vehicle traveling away from the store on Main Street and attempted a traffic stop.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop and continued to drive through the Main Street area, across U.S. 278 and turned onto some side roads in an attempt to evade pursuing deputies. The driver eventually stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of the Hilton Head Island Christian Academy, where several subjects jumped out and fled on foot. Deputies gave chase and caught up to three of the fleeing subjects in the Hilton Head Gardens apartment complex. The three were detained by deputies and interviewed regarding the Parker's armed robbery.

Following their interviews and an investigation into the armed robbery, the three subjects were arrested and charged in connection with the incident. Two of the subjects, 20-year-old Darrol Johnson of Opa Locka, Florida and 24-year-old Kevin D'Haiti of Miami, Florida, were charged with Robbery while Armed with a Deadly Weapon and Conspiracy, while the other subject, 20-year-old Denzel Johnson of Opa Locka, Florida was charged with Conspiracy. The three were transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated. They have yet to receive bond hearings on their charges.

The investigation into the Parker's armed robbery is ongoing, as Sheriff's Office investigators are working to locate the other male subjects who fled from the vehicle at the Christian Academy. Anyone with information on the identities of the other subjects involved in the Parker's armed robbery is encouraged to contact Sergeant Pat Murphy at 843-255-3413 or Crimestoppers of the Lowcountry at 843-554-1111 if wishing to remain anonymous and for possible reward.
