Scam Alert- Verizon 
There have been several reports of citizens of our county receiving calls from Verizon stating that they were going to cancel their Verizon account and requested their account number and other personal information. The Sheriff’s Office has contacted Verizon and was advised that this was a scam and this has been a problem throughout the area.
Sheriff Mike Marshall and the Stokes County Sheriff's Office would like to warn our citizens who are Verizon customers of this scam.
