Grosse Pointe Woods Public Safety arrests 4 in connection with several area larceny from auto complaints

On 2-18-19 at approx. 0325hrs, Grosse Pointe Woods dispatch, dispatched units to the area of N. Oxford Dr. between Holiday and Fairway for possibly 3-4 suspects observed walking up drive ways and looking into vehicles. As units were making the area, Officers observed a dark in color Chrysler 300 leaving the area which matched the description of a vehicle that was possibly involved in a series of Larceny from Auto complaints in our town and neighboring jurisdictions. While responding, updated information was past onto the officers that the males entered a dark colored 4 door vehicle and left the area westbound toward Holiday. Within seconds, an Officer radioed that he was following a dark colored vehicle (Chrysler 300) on Holiday Southbound from N. Oxford.

Officers on scene were able to trace the fresh snow tracks back to numerous homes on N. Oxford, where it was discovered that the resident’s vehicles had been gone through, and items taken. Officers were able to effect a traffic stop on the dark colored Chrysler 300. Subsequent to an investigation, all 4 occupants were arrested for being in possession of stolen property including several credit cards, debit cards, personal I.D.’s, and other personal property taken from the vehicles.

Arrested was Jhaelyn Bills (20) of Detroit, Demario Davis (18) of Warren, Lee Paul (19) of Grosse Pointe Woods, and Donald Moorlet-Porter (20) of Harper Woods all pictured below.

All 4 were charged by the Wayne County Prosecutors Office on the following charges:
