INCIDENT: Death Investigation
LOCATION: Lone Pine Canyon Road East of State Hwy 138, Cajon Pass
VICTIM: Unidentified female – positive identification is pending
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at approximately 10:02 am, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Lone Pine Canyon Road East of State Hwy 138, following the report of a possible deceased victim located off the roadway down an embankment. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the victim was a deceased female.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division responded and are conducting a death investigation.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Positive identification of the victim is pending. The investigation is ongoing, additional information will be released as it becomes available.
