Congratulations to the students at Poplar Springs Elementary School on their successful completion of the D.A.R.E. Program from Sheriff Mike Marshall and the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office. Essay winners Kathryn Davis, Kayden Hux, and Danielle Delk did a great job reading their D.A.R.E. reports. We had 45 students with workbook scores with 100 or higher, Outstanding! Special thanks to our guest speaker Chief District Court Judge William. F. Southern III. Captain Danny Bottoms, Deputy Amanda Ferguson, Deputy Jeff Brewer, as well as the faculty and staff at Poplar Springs Elementary School and our Stokes County Commissioners as well as many others. We are losing too many people these days to drugs. Sheriff Marshall and his staff are working with Parents and the School System to help prevent drug addiction.
