Police arrested two suspects after locating a suspect vehicle used in auto burglaries at the Stanford Shopping Center parking lot. On Thursday, August 8, 2019 at around 12:11 p.m., officers spotted a vehicle used in auto burglaries that occurred in July 2019. The suspect vehicle was traveling northbound on Alma Street heading toward the Stanford Shopping Center. Police stopped the vehicle at Sandhill Road and Vineyard Lane. They took the male driver and male front passenger into custody. Detectives were able to connect burglaries that occurred July 25 and July 30 at the Stanford Shopping Center to the suspect vehicle. Police located a window punch near the front driver seat and another one on the front passenger seat of the suspect vehicle. A window punch is a tool commonly used by auto burglars to shatter windows. Officers also recovered a stolen item from an auto burglary that occurred on July 25 at the Stanford Shopping Center from inside the suspect vehicle. In that case, the suspect broke the window of a vehicle and stole two backpacks containing electronics. On July 30, the other suspect taken into custody, broke the window of another vehicle in the Stanford Shopping Center parking lot, entered it, but didn’t take any items. Police arrested 19-year-old Kamron Malek Albert Johnese and 20-year-old Kevon Earl Rabb, both of San Francisco, for auto burglary (felony) and possession of burglary tools (misdemeanor). Johnese is connected to the auto burglary from July 30 and Rabb is connected to the one that occurred on July 25. Both were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Their booking photos are attached to this news release (note: the booking photos have been removed pursuant to AB994 as of December 2023). Detectives are continuing to investigate the suspects.
