Seaside PD Alert System Testing
The Seaside Police Department tests its city-wide alert system the first Wednesday of each month. Scheduled for tomorrow, April 1, the Police Department plans to move forward with this testing as regularly scheduled, recognizing that many may be hearing this test from a different location.
Tomorrow morning you'll receive an additional alert, letting you know that testing will begin at 11 a.m. The test includes verbal warnings from the siren towers placed throughout Seaside. Do not be alarmed if you hear the test. It's also possible - depending on the weather conditions, wind direction, and even your windows - that you do not hear the test. That's okay too. If this were an actual warning, the audible levels would be much higher and additional information would be relayed to you.
Thank you for your attention to this and for your cooperation.
