Today, from 5 pm to approximately 8 pm, Black Lives Matter is planning a peaceful march in Capitola. The march will begin at Monterey Park at 5:15 pm and travel along the following route;
Monterey to Bay (right turn)
Bay to Capitola Avenue (left turn)
Capitola Ave to Stockton (right turn)
Stockton to Esplanade (left turn)
Esplanade to Esplanade Park for gathering/speakers
At 8 pm, Monterey Avenue to Monterey Park
Several intersections will be temporarily closed to provide safety for march participants and the public. To avoid the anticipated congestion, please plan your travels accordingly.
