Teton County is testing outdoor warning sirens today 8/13/20. If you hear a siren, it is just a test.
Teton County Emergency Management will be testing the outdoor warning sirens throughout Teton County on Thursday August 13, 2020. This will consist of short 1 minute tests of each siren throughout the County. You can see a map of siren locations and learn more about the system here https://www.tetoncountywy.gov/498/Outdoor-Warning-Sirens.
As a reminder, in a real emergency such as a hazardous materials spill, tornado, terrorist event, dam failure, wildfire evacuation, or other event where large groups of people outdoors near the sirens need to be warned, the sirens will be activated for a 3 minute wail. If you hear a 3 minute wail of the outdoor warning sirens, you should check your trusted online news source, NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio, Nixle, or local radio broadcaster for further information.
