Evening Update on Petaluma's Response to Sonoma County Wildfires, 9/28/20

Once again, Petaluma is stepping up to support neighboring communities dealing with wildfires. City Police and Fire personnel have been deployed to assist with evacuations and firefighting. Other City staff have been working closely with the County and local partners, such as the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds and Petaluma People Services Center, to provide care and shelter here within the City limits.

Our Emergency Operations Center opened last night and has enabled us to provide coordinated assistance across multiple City departments. We will continue monitoring the fire situation overnight and respond accordingly.

For up-to-date emergency information, visit the Sonoma County Emergency Website. For support and information you can visit https://211sonoma.org/ or dial 2-1-1 on your phone.
