Due to the limited number of ICU beds and rising numbers of COVID-19 hospitalizations, California has introduced a new Regional Stay-at-Home order for regions where ICU capacity falls below 15%. Lake County has been placed in the Northern California Region which includes Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties (current remaining capacity is 18.6%).

When the Northern California Region does hit the threshold, the Order will be in effect within 24 hours and will remain for at least three weeks; it will be evaluated each week thereafter. When regional lockdowns are lifted, counties again will be categorized by the color-coded system.
