No: 21-11 Subject: Attempted Homicide Arrest
Arrested: Kevion A. Minor 22 years old
On April 30th, 2021 Racine Police responded to the 3300blk of Hamlin St. reference a party shot multiple times. During the investigation Kevion Minor was developed as the suspect in the shooting. A warrant was entered for attempted homicide for Minor.
On July 7th, 2021 Minor was located at an apartment in the 1300blk of 16th St. The Racine Swat team and RPD Crisis Negotiators made contact with Minor who refused to come out and armed himself with a gun. Officers discovered there was an adult female and young child inside the apartment with Minor. After approximately one hour of negotiations the young child was released from the apartment. After an additional hour and a half of negotiations Minor and the adult female exited the apartment. Kevion Minor was then taken into custody.
Kevion Minor was taken into custody reference the Attempted Homicide warrant. Other charges are pending the active investigation.
