...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northwestern Logan,
east central Fulton, Tazewell, southwestern McLean, northeastern
Mason and southern Peoria Counties through 800 PM CDT...

At 728 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near South Pekin to near St. David. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Tremont, Delavan, South Pekin and Green Valley around 735 PM CDT.
Hopedale and Emden around 745 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Manito, Minier,
Stanford, Armington and Easton.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 155 between mile markers 7 and 28.
Interstate 55 between mile markers 144 and 150.

Instructions:

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central Illinois.
