* Flood Warning for... Western Allegany County in western Maryland... Garrett County in western Maryland... Northwestern Grant County in eastern West Virginia... Southwestern Mineral County in eastern West Virginia...
* Until 600 PM EDT.
* At 146 PM EDT, Doppler radar and stream gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area, with a stream gauge on Georges Creek in Westernport indicating minor flooding is ongoing with a latest stage of 8.2 feet. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across the area. This includes the following Flood Prone Roads: Midland near Georges Creek... Lonaconing near Georges Creek and Koontz Run... Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEGANY, MD ... GARRETT, MD ... GRANT, WV ... MINERAL, WV
