INVESTIGATION UPDATE: THEFTS FROM MOTOR VEHICLES **SUSPECT IN CUSTODY**
Earlier this morning (October 7, 2021), at 4:40 AM, Officer Joshua Hooper and Officer Nicholas Collishaw responded to the area of Alsun Drive for a report of a male subject who made entry to at least one motor vehicle in that neighborhood.
The Officers immediately responded to the area, and while Officer Collishaw was speaking with residents on Alsun Drive, Officer Hooper located a male subject in the woods near 34 Alsun Drive. The male subject, later identified as Sean GERBER, age 37, of Nashua, NH, attempted to run from Officer Hooper. Officer Hooper was able to quickly apprehend GERBER and placed him into custody. Neither Officer Hooper or GERBER were injured.
At this point, GERBER is being charged with Theft by Unauthorized Taking, but the investigation into prior thefts is still ongoing. We will provide more updates when the time is appropriate.
We appreciate and recognize the outstanding work of Officer Hooper and Officer Collishaw for their quick and effective policing efforts. We also wish to thank the countless residents who have provided video surveillance and other relevant information about this investigation.
Although there is still work to do, we are excited to provide you with this investigation update. We also remind all residents to LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS as this is the best way to prevent thefts from happening.
