Shooting six victims

On October 17, 2021, at 23:12hrs Racine Police officers responded to the area of Yout St. and Carter St. reference a large gathering of people being loud and reckless driving in the area. As officers arrived numerous gunshots were heard in the immediate area. Officers exited their squads and began rendering aid to numerous gunshot victims. In total there were six people struck by gunfire with all appearing to be non life threatening injuries.
This is an on going investigation. Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this incident. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
