Water Advisory Update Thursday
Just a reminder, we are still under the boil advisory. We will send out a notification for the boil advisory lift as soon as we get the second set of test results. We are hoping to have those by 1:00 pm today. Sorry for any confusion with my email yesterday with the mix-up on today's date. If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to call us at City Hall.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Public works took samples from 5 locations yesterday, results for any contaminants take 24 hours to be reported, either way, positive or negative. As soon as we receive those results, we will send the information out for you to see.
We are requiring 2 negative tests before we will lift the boil advisory. Public Works are out taking those 5 samples again this morning and will take them to Keystone Laboratories swiftly. Those results can take 24 hours to come back, we are not going to lift the boil advisory until that happens.
In other words, we are asking residents to continue to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it until at least Thursday, November 4th. We would expect to have the results by noon tomorrow and as soon as we have those results, we will let you know.
Public Works will continue flushing mains this afternoon, this may cause discolored water. Please observe the color of water before use to ensure no damages or surprises.
We want to thank everyone for their cooperation and their patience, during this unexpected loss of water and the continued efforts to correct things.
As always, if you have any questions, please let me know if you have any questions or call City Hall.
