Stolen Vehicle Arrest

No: 21-29 Subject: Stolen Vehicle Arrest
On December 8th, 2021 at 1629hrs Racine Police Officers responded reference a vehicle being stolen from the 2200blk of 16th St. The vehicle was stolen with two children inside ages three and one. Racine PD Officers quickly located the stolen vehicle in the area. The vehicle fled in a very reckless manner at a high rate of speed. Due to the extreme danger to the children and public safety officers stopped directly pursuing the vehicle. A short time later the children were located in the 2900blk of Washington Ave uninjured. The children were evaluated by Racine rescue and returned to family.
On December 9th, 2021 at approximately 0900hrs a Racine Police Officer located the stolen vehicle occupied on the south side of Racine. When a stop was attempted the vehicle again fled at a high rate of speed. The driver of the stolen vehicle was eventually taken into custody near 21st St. and Ohio St. A fifteen year old male of Racine was arrested reference both incidents. The fifteen year old suspect was arrested for Reckless Endangering Safety(2 counts), Fleeing and Eluding(2 counts), and Operating a Vehicle without Owner’s Consent(2 counts).
