Would you like to gain insight into how the Fairfield Police Department works?
Fairfield Police Department’s Citizens’ Academy is an interactive course that takes you behind-the-scenes. During each three-hour sessions (6-9 PM), the Citizens' Academy offers City of Fairfield residents, its employees, and Fairfield community and business leaders an up-close and personal look at the way the Fairfield Police Department is organized and an opportunity to learn more about its operations.
The Citizens' Academy highlights the Fairfield Police Department's Community Policing philosophy, which strengthens the bond between our community members and our police officers as we proactively work together to solve community issues of varying complexity.
The goal of the Citizens' Academy is to create a growing core of well-informed community members who are proud of their police department, and who can serve as ambassadors, sharing their experiences and knowledge about law enforcement with other community members.
**The academy meets every Wednesday, beginning April 6th, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Participants cannot miss more than one class during the seven week course. Participants must be at least 18 years old and live or work in Fairfield.
