(262) 635-0190 Date: February 20, 2022 No: 20-05 Subject: Death Investigation UPDATE (02/23/22): Racine Police Department has an update regarding the death of firefighter Christopher Lalor. After pursing a promising line of investigation, a suspect was developed and identified as Peter Lui (m/w DOB: 05/07/70). The Racine Police Department was notified this afternoon by Jacksonville, FL Sheriff’s Department that a subject matching the description of Peter Lui, was located deceased by means of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Peter Lui’s remains have been positively identified. The investigation is ongoing. On Sunday, February 20, 2022 at approximately 1157 hours, officers were sent to an address on Pinehurst Ave. in reference to a male not breathing. First responders located the deceased, a 50 year old male, who was a 21 year veteran of the Racine Fire Department. His death is under investigation and is being treated as a homicide. Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this incident.
