ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Vogle was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court in front of Honorable Judge Lisa W. Lorman and remanded to Montgomery County Corrections on $5,000 cash / $10,000 bond.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On April 4, 2022, the Amsterdam Police Department arrested sixty one year old, Philip D. Vogle for having sexual contact with a child under the age of 15. The child was interviewed with the assistance of the Child Advocacy center of Montgomery County. The investigation revealed that the incidents occurred throughout August and September of 2021 at a residence inside the City of Amsterdam.
Phillip D. Vogle was arrested on April 4, 2022 by Amsterdam Police Detectives and charged with Criminal Sexual Act 2nd, Endangering the Welfare of a child, Forcible touching and Sexual Misconduct. Vogle was brought to Amsterdam Police Headquarters where he was processed on the above charges. The Amsterdam Police Department was assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
