* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.
* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is likely. Various low-water crossings may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1248 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Areas of localized flooding are likely. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen since late Tuesday evening. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area overnight. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Parsons, Independence, Chanute, Iola, Neodesha, Cherryvale, Humboldt, Oswego, Erie, Altamont, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Thayer, Altoona, Mound Valley, Moline, Longton and Elk City.

Instructions:
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
