Shots Fired at Fairfield Police Officers; Suspect Safely Apprehended Following Failed Traffic Stop

Last night, at about 10 pm, Fairfield police officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3000 block of N. Texas St. The driver, later identified as Patrick Hall, failed to stop, leading officers in a pursuit. During the pursuit, the suspect shot at officers, striking their vehicles. One of the suspect’s bullets penetrated an officer’s windshield, striking the driver’s side headrest and narrowly missing the officer.

The pursuit continued into Vallejo, where officers were able to puncture the tires with a spike strip. Hall then stopped near Griffin and Gateway. Hall again shot at officers, who returned fire, striking Hall.
Officers immediately rendered aid to Hall at the scene before he was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No officers sustained physical injury.

The Solano County Major Crimes Task Force is actively investigating the case.
