A Message from Mayor John Krenzel

A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR JOHN KRENZEL

As you are aware, it is hot. We are in a heat wave with high temperatures and high humidity. You are asked to look in on your neighbors, especially the elderly. Take care of yourselves and your children. Stay hydrated and think carefully about doing outside activities in the heat of the day.

Also, you are asked to conserve electricity. For example, use your washers and dryers in the mornings or evenings. Don’t leave your air conditioners on full blast if no one is home.

And while conserving electricity, please conserve your water usage. Heavy usage can contribute to discoloration of the water. Don’t waste water; it is a precious and expensive commodity.

Finally, be wary of releasing mylar balloons. If one gets caught in a power line, it can cause a short circuit. And then poof! No power!

So, again, be careful. It is hot. Take precautions. Thank you.

Instructions:

Take heat related precautions.
