The department wants drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians to get home safely, and they urge pedestrians and bicyclists to also follow the rules of the road and be bright and visible during darkness.
The police department is also asking parents to step up and educate their children to help keep them safe.

Police Department Deploy Radar Trailer Messaging Board
The Cloverdale Police Department is unveiling a traffic enforcement initiative in response to an increase in traffic concerns and complaints within the community. The police department recently purchased a radar trailer/ message board that has been deployed and is now in use in neighborhoods within the city.
The sign board trailer, used in combination with SpeedAlert Radar, is intended to assist with the following:
- Calm traffic and increase speed awareness
- Communicate to motorists and pedestrians
- Redirect traffic during accidents or events
- Conduct traffic studies
- Resolve speeding complaints
