On December 4, at around 3:50 pm, Fairfield police officers responded to a report of a man and woman stealing mail in Cordelia.
The victim stated when he confronted the individuals, the man displayed a firearm before the two fled in a vehicle.
Officers used FLOCK to determine the whereabouts of the vehicle. The woman, 25-year-old Mylitta Ritchie of Fairfield was immediately detained. The man, however, fled on foot with a small bag in hand.
A search was conducted with the assistance of the K-9 Unit, and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) ultimately located 28-year-old David O’Neal of Fairfield at the corner of Beck Ave and Woolner Ave. He was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail on multiple charges.
The vehicle was reported stolen out of Vacaville. A stolen firearm as well as other items indicative of mail theft were also located.
