Traffic Alert: Veterans Memorial Bridge 
Due to tidal flooding, the outermost lanes in both directions of the Veterans Memorial Bridge (County Road 535) between South River and Sayreville are closed to traffic. The inner lanes in each direction are currently passable. The water is expected to begin receding shortly. No further closures are expected.
Motorists should expect delays in the area and plan an alternate route, if possible.
As of this time, no closures are anticipated during this evening's high tide however, if it becomes necessary, updates will be provided.
