18-year-old Jonathan Issrael Paz is in custody after tactical operation in Bluffton 
Earlier today, December 30, 2022, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office special operations teams executed a search warrant at 6 Amblewood Avenue, Bluffton, SC searching for Jonathan Issrael Paz, who was wanted for first-degree burglary.
An arrest warrant was issued for Paz on October 21st, 2022, charging him with burglarizing a residence in September while armed with a handgun. Paz is known by law enforcement to possess firearms.
After receiving credible information that Paz was inside the Amblewood Avenue home, a search warrant was obtained for the property by investigators.
Attempts to call him out of the home were unsuccessful and tactical operations were deployed.
At approximately 10:55 a.m., Jonathan Paz was taken into custody after being found hiding under a bathroom sink.
In addition to the first-degree burglary charge, Paz is also facing a charge for resisting arrest.
Jonathan Paz was booked into the Beaufort County Detention Center a short time ago and will have a bond hearing tomorrow.
