(262) 635-0190 Date: No: 23-02 Subject: Attempted Homicide UPDATE (01/09/23): The female victim (14 years old) is conscious and is in stable but serious condition. The male suspect (14 years old) is currently being held at juvenile detention. The two juveniles are known to each other but are not related. On Sunday, January 8, 2023 at approximately 1142 hours officers were sent to the area of 21st St. and S. Memorial Dr. regarding a female who had been shot. Upon their arrival officers located a juvenile female who had been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to the hospital and then airlifted to Milwaukee. The female is in serious condition. The juvenile male suspect has been taken into custody. The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time. Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this incident.
