City of Lakeport Storm Update - February 25, 2023
City emergency response personnel are continuing to respond to storm related issues. As of this morning the National Weather Service is advising of more snow down to 1000 feet Monday night into Tuesday gusty winds are also possible Monday.
In many areas of the city roadway shoulders and sidewalks are still covered with frozen snow. Continue to drive slowly and watch for pedestrians.
According to PG&E there are still storm related outage incidents impacting 1300 Lakeport customers. Additional power outages are possible over the next few days as the weather continues in our area. Customers can get outage information at pge.com/outages or at 1-800-743-5002. Do not approach downed power lines and immediately report them to 911 and PGE at the above number.
Per the County of Lake, the warming center serving persons experiencing homelessness has expanded its operations to 24/7 during this weather incident. Call the warming center for more information at 707-349-5022.
On Monday crews will be clearing downed trees on city right of way along roads.
